I studied textile and surface pattern design at Chelsea School of Art. After graduating, I worked as a freelance designer specialising in print for home furnishings and fashion.
I live in rural North Essex where I design and produce my work.
I predominately work in lino print, but also experiment with etching. I mostly work in colour and like to print using multiple lino blocks, which produce a beautiful vibrancy. Sometimes over printing blocks to produce different layers of colour. I also create single colour prints which tend to be more illustrative. I’m inspired by my surroundings where elements of nature and wildlife are woven into my designs.
I’m currently working on a series of large prints celebrating woman; exploring form through shape and line. Recently I have started to design fabric again, as pattern making is a strong element which features throughout my work.
